Over time, what started as a creative outlet grew into something bigger: a way to inspire balance. What got me into coloring books was Johanna Basford’s “Secret Garden,” first printed in 2013 in Britain. That book went on to sell over 12 million copies and even made the New York Times Best Seller list. Since then, she has been the one to lead what I’d call — not exactly a revolution, but definitely the trend and growing popularity of adult coloring books. Inspired by her work, I began to think that one day I could do the same.

In the meantime, I decided to experiment with something fun — video clips. My “Quick Color Series” is a weekly set of videos that show how I would color in my own little creations. These illustrations come directly from my book “Puppies and Patterns” — a whimsical adult coloring book. Every Sunday night, I upload a new video with the goal of creating a collection of 42 in total.
